The texture creates a contrast with the smooth finish of the other tiles, and this draws the eye to the textured feature area, and can help add visual interest and style to your space.
• Colours- when choosing your plain and patterned tiles, you should consider your colour options. The texture of the tile itself will create contrast, so it might not be necessary to choose contrasting tile colours to add that focal point. You could instead choose tiles that are a different shade of the same colour, or tiles with colours that complement each other.
