Stunning tiling patterns with the WOW factor

As a result, we have produced this guide to stunning tiling patterns with the WOW factor.

The Herringbone Pattern

One of the classic tiling patterns that can create a truly dramatic effect in any room is the herringbone pattern. This is create by simply turning your subway tiles, 45 degrees, and creating a V shaped pattern across your space. This is popular for floors and walls and can be incredible for splashback areas in the kitchen or the bathroom. In fact, because of the positioning of the tiles, the herringbone pattern can also help to draw the eye outwards, giving an illusion of width and depth.

The Basket Weave Pattern

This is an incredibly intricate looking tiling pattern that can really transform any room. Using rectangular tiles again, simply lay three vertically to create a square, and then three horizontally, to create another square. Once completed you have a pattern that looks like larger squares, that is created from smaller rectangular tiles.

While this is a stunning pattern, it can look quite busy, so it is recommended for use for floor tiling in smaller areas.

The Hexagon Pattern

Hexagonal tiling has to be a favourite. It is also known as the honeycomb tiling pattern and it can be incredible. Using hexagonal tiles, you can add character to any room. Whether they are patterned or plain, hexagon tiles suit both floors and walls and are incredibly versatile. In fact, you can even use a contrasting grout colour to make the pattern stand out further.
